“Hamburg is becoming increasingly international and therefore still needs a top hotel,” said Klaus-Michael Kuehne. The hotel investor is attaching importance to large areas of glass. These dominate the facade with white ceramics. The nine-storey building will offer 130 rooms and suites with up to 200 square meters. In the top floor there is planned a fine-dining restaurant. It is also planned a luxurious spa.
The former Intercontinental will be demolished by beginning of the next year. The construction is planned for summer 2014. The inauguration could follow two years later.
