Miami Beach/USA – 04 October 2013 – 16 years after the murder of the famous designer Gianni Versace on the steps of his „Casa Casuaria“ in Miami Beach, the pompous Villa was recently sold by an auction for 41,5 Million US dollar. The Villa, build in 1930, has a size of approximately 2,220 square meters of three floors and offers ten bedrooms, eleven bathrooms and a golden pool. Gianni Versace, founder of the same named fashion boutique, bought the villa in 1992 and refurbish it for more than 30 million dollar. Real estate agents estimate that the real worth of the „Versace Mansion“ in prime location at the Ocean Drive at the Miami Beach is more than 120 million US dollar.
If the Versace Villa will become another small Palazzo Versace by the hotel chain of the fashion house is so far to be determined. The first Palazzo Versace at the Gold Coast in Australia is also today a talking point because of its pomp and swank. In Dubai and Macau further large hotel projects are under construction.
