Starwood Hotels’ Eco-Wise Element Brand to Expand Florida Portfolio

Element Orlando is slated to debut in July 2016, following next year’s opening of both Element Orlando North and Element Miami Doral. Owned by Barakat Orlando Resort, LLC, developed by GCD Associates, and managed by New Jersey based Paramount Hotel Group, Element Orlando will offer 151 stylish, sustainable rooms and a light-filled atmosphere designed to fuel a life in balance and on the move.

The hotel will be located at 5875 Carrier Drive, less than a mile from Universal Studios Orlando, and just minutes from both SeaWorld and Walt Disney World Resort. The hotel will also be one mile from I Drive Live, a development opening in late 2014 with a Ferris wheel, Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Sea Life Aquarium, several restaurants and a brewery. W Hotels Worldwide to Enter Morroco with W Marrakech

A New Scene in Marrakech’s Trendy Hivernage District
Ideally located between the historic Medina and Guéliz, the city’s modern new town, W Marrakech will be near Menara Gardens with easy access to fashionable boutiques and pulsating nightlife destinations. The interiors of the new-build project will be designed by GA Design International, which has also designed other notable Starwood hotels, including W Taipei and The St. Regis Osaka. Originally launched in 2008, Element became the first major hotel brand to mandate that all properties pursue the US Green Building Council LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for high-performance buildings with energy-efficient appliances used in all properties. Recognised as an industry leader in the eco-space, Element’s global portfolio is set to double within two years from 15 to 30 hotels by the end of 2017. In addition to Element Frankfurt Airport, the brand will debut in other markets including a new Element hotel in Suzhou, China in 2015 and as part of a Aloft and Element dual-hotel development in the historic Tobacco Dock section of East London.

Starwood currently has 25 hotels throughout Germany under six of its nine distinct and compelling brands. Element Frankfurt Airport is Starwood’s fifth hotel in Frankfurt, joining Le Méridien Parkhotel Frankfurt, The Westin Grand Frankfurt, Sheraton Frankfurt Congress Hotel and the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center.
